Lonnie wanted to show his support for impactful groups or individuals in the community. Every month, Lonnie and a Direct Support Professional (DSP) at his house, Stacy, select a special organization or person that will receive the gift basket. Recently, Lonnie selected the Mitchell Fire Division. He, along with his friend Carney, visited the Public Safety building to present his gift basket to the firefighters and say thank you for a job well done.

Jeanie, a DSP, scoured the internet to find family members of Evelyn, a person she helps here at LifeQuest. Evelyn had desperately wanted to reconnect with her family, and Jeanie wanted to help Evelyn’s dream come true.
In a short time, Jeanie determined that Evelyn had one sister, who passed away in 2006, but Evelyn’s nephew in Missourihad been trying to locate Evelyn. Their first phone call was very exciting, and Evelyn was thrilled she received old family pictures and a doll that has been passed down over three generations.
For Jodi, letting go of her daughter, Mindy, into the world was a tough task. “We wanted her to have her independence,” said Jodi, “but how could we do this and keep her protected?”
“The day we came to LifeQuest and talk to the staff is the day we found our answer,” said Jodi. “We finally found dedicated people that were just as interested in helping Mindy as we were."
